Douglas Brockmeyer, M.D.

Dr. Brockmeyer received his undergraduate degree in Psychobiology at Harvard University in 1983. He attended medical school at Case Western Reserve University, graduating in 1987. An internship in General Surgery at the University of Utah, 1987-1988, was followed by a residency in Neurological Surgery in 1988-1993. He then completed a postgraduate  fellowship in pediatric neurological surgery at the University of Utah/Primary Children's Medical Center during 1993-1994.

Dr. Brockmeyer joined the faculty of the University of Utah and the Primary Children's Medical Center in 1994 and is a Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery. He is certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and the American Board of Pediatric Neurological Surgery. He currently serves as a member of the Executive Committee of the Pediatric Section of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons. He is the Program Director of the Pediatric Neurosurgical Fellowship here at Primary Children's Medical Center.
